Fourth Story - Short Briefing about GST

Several days ago, I was attended briefing about Government Services Tax (GST). As public know, the GST was announced by our prime Minister in Parliament in budget 2014 and will be implement in April 2015. GST is a tax which its replace the existing tax. GST rate or standard rate is 6%.

For the business which recorded revenue more than RM500,000 yearly is subject to the GST, but for the people like me, it’s doesn’t matter how much your yearly income weather more than RM500,000 or less than RM500,000, its subject to pay GST directly or indirectly. Directly meaning, you pay for GST which it is state in the bill or indirectly meaning pay for the GST which included in the price have you pay for the good or service you gets.

From the briefing revealed that not every business subject to the GST. They must register with Custom and get the GST number. The businesses which have not registered with the Custom are can’t collect GST form the customer. Meaning they can’t taxing you directly when your pay for goods or service. The type of businesses are called user like us. They must pay GST to the suppliers who are registered for GST. So, how they want to counter back the amount that they pay for the GST. Of course they must to increase the price. It is different for the businesses which subject for the GST and registered with Custom. The can claim refund from the Custom the differences amount between outgoing invoices and incoming invoices the have recorded for the month.

Outgoing invoices means, how much amount that the business collected from the sales for the month and incoming invoices means how much amount of GST that the businesses pay for upon purchase the goods and service for the month. The different between output and input, will be refund by government.

For the supermarket, might be they have pursued by government to maintain the price at the time GST will be implement at 01 April 2015. So, how they want to make sure that the GST is not impact their profit. I assume starting from now, the supermarket and also the consignment supplier was increasing their price.

Yesterday, I am looking for long-sleeve at SOGO.  I am looking for the branded long-sleeve like John Master, Renoma, Crocdile, Bonia and the other brand. When I notice the price, I am very surprise and shocked. The prices are so crazy expensive beb….. Can you imagine, for the John Master, the price was started from RM100 and above? I Notice that the other brand was started from RM100 not below than that. Huh….gaji masih lagi di takuk lama, tetapi harga baju melambung.. Short of the long story, I ended my mission at Kamdar. For not wait my time, I purchase two shirt, Durban for RM59.90 and one shirt which might be a new brand. The rand was write in Italic and very difficult for me to read. That is the mistake for that particular brand because when the brand is not clear, the customer can’t remember.

Ok thank you.

Next months, Inshaallah I will be transfer to my hometown.  They (my Headquarters) want me to manage a branch. Meaning, I will appoint as a branch manager.

Wow… that is a big responsibility. Branch manager beb...... Actually I have no experience as a branch manager before, although I have an experience work at many branches, but I know that is very different. But I believe that anything must have a first steps or starting. Our  ex-Prime Minister, Tun Mahathir also don’t have an experience before he appointed as Prime Minister, but what is the result? He became a great prime minister.  I am so proud of him. But I know I cannot compare with him.

Important to be prepare is about knowledge.  I have a lot of knowledge in everything, but I don’t know that my knowledge is useful or not to manage a branches. I am realized that is a lot of any things I must to manage.  A staff, machine, equipment, customers, society, local leaders, and so on. These are the “makhluk and thing” that must I care and manage.

Kuala Berang actually is my hometown. Kuala Berang is not different before I leave 15 years ago, except one or two building are established. I don’t know why Kuala Berang just like that. Might be that is too many politician decision come in in administration of Bandar Kuala Berang. That is my view, but the true is many variable factors that will involve such as population, surrounding economics, mentality of people and so on.

I am so happy actually to transfer because I will come back after more than 14 years traveling. From Kuala Berang to Tawau, Sabah. From Sabah to Kuala Lumpur. That is my journey. Now I come back, Inshaallah on Mei fourth.  A hard challenge waits for me, I know.

Kuala Berang, you waits  I come……. Below I write up tips how to become a great manager or great leader. Actually, this tips is for me, but I want to sharing here. This theory is not my idea, I just copy and paste here. I forgot where, I get these tips. But the true, it is not my tips.  I don’t know why the tips start from 28. What happen to the number 1 – 27? What happen to the MH370. Ha ha ha….where is our aircraft actually. It is true that unlucky aircraft ended his journey in Indian Ocean?
For me, that is three placed that aircraft might be placed right now. First, in the sea. Second, on the earth or on the land and third, in space. Who know? Hanya Allah yang tahu?
Herewith the tips how to become the great managers or great leader.

Part Time Student

Part-time students is a students who divides his or her time between study and work. Usually, part time student  will attend the class during weekends or after office hours. I have experience to be a part time student twice. In 2004 - 2008, I am a part time student to complete my bachelor in management and now, I come back to the class to complete my Master. To be honest, as a part time student, it is a very hard time and very tired.

Here are several tips I want to share if anybody wants to become a part time student.

1. Sacrifice is very much important because you need to divide your time or your time with your family to attend the class. Sometime you must to sacrifice your vacations cause of exam and so on.

2. Your study together with your family. As a part time student and also have a family, you can't leave your family behind. Meaning, your family and your study are the go hand in hand.

3. For student, its a lot of assignment to complete. I know its is very tired and at the same time you need to care about your family and also your job. Delayed to complete an assignment  an unwise because we don't know what happen in the future. Therefore, the part time student must use a free time to complete the assignment quickly before a busy time come out.

4. The graduation day is the "hari raya" for the part time student. At that time, the family and friend will wish congratulation very much. At that day, a world is my own, the burden was gone.

5. The last, if you completely finish your study and maybe become a great man, a boss, don't leave your family, don't forgot their sacrifice. Without that maybe you cannot successful in your study.

Thank you for watching of sorry reading.

MH370 - Mystery surrounds co-pilot's final words

Mystery surrounds co-pilot's final words

"All right, good night" were the last words from the cockpit of the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.

These words have come under intense scrutiny in the recent days over whether they were said by the pilot or someone who was not supposed to be in the cockpit.

However, Malaysian authorities said today preliminary investigations show that these last words were from co-pilot Fariq Ab Hamid (left).

"Initial investigations indicate that it was the co-pilot who basically spoke the last time, it was recorded on tape," MAS chief executive officer Ahmad Jauhari Yahya told a press conference at Sama-Sama Hotel, KL International Airport.

This final conversation took place just 11 minutes before MH370 disappeared from Malaysian air traffic control radar at 1.30am on March 8.

Did something happen to the co-pilot in those 11 minutes or was the co-pilot part of something devious? [View timeline of final communication here]

Information System - Strategic Business Objectives

In my second story, I was mentioned that just now I have to complete my Information System Subject with Associate Professor Dr. Rusli Abdullah. Meaning, maybe many of my article are relate to the particular subject.

Actually, everyday we use the system in our life. System will help for our daily life and also to help us to conduct our job like to run our business. The system is very much important to make sure that the our business are run very efficiency and effectively.

One of the vital system to run the business is the Information System. American business will spend over $540 billion on information system hardware, software and telecommunications equipment. In addition, they will spend another $650 billion on business and management consulting and services-much of which involves redesigning firm's business operations to take advantage of these new technologies. If they don't use the latest information system technology in their firm's that means they are left behind and lost the competitive advantage to the competitor.

An information system can be defined technically as a set of interrelated components that collect (or retrieve), process, store and distribute information to support decision making and controls,  in organization. Information System also help managers and workers analyze problems, visualize subjedcts, and create new products.

The strategic business objectives of information systems are described below:

Pray4MH370 - PM Najib'b Full Press Statement on MH370

Najib's full press statement on MH370

Seven days ago Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 disappeared. We realise this is an excruciating time for the families of those on board. No words can describe the pain they must be going through. Our thoughts and our prayers are with them.

I have been appraised of the on-going search operation round the clock. At the beginning of the operation, I ordered the search area to be broadened; I instructed the Malaysian authorities to share all relevant information freely and transparently with the wider investigation team; and I requested that our friends and allies join the operation.

As of today, 14 countries, 43 ships and 58 aircraft are involved in the search. I wish to thank all the governments for their help at such a crucial time.

Since day one, the Malaysian authorities have worked hand-in-hand with our international partners – including neighbouring countries, the aviation authorities and a multinational search force – many of whom have been here on the ground since Sunday.

First Story

The purpose of this blog to share my stories with readers who are willing to listen. My story is not meant to offend the feelings of the heart of readers, however if that happens, I am ask for pardon and forgiveness because that is no unintentional from my heart
